Delivery Verification via Telephone (Telecheck)

Telecheck defined as: The practice of calling a sampling of the residents and/or businesses in a delivery route to verify some or all of the following:

  • The route was thoroughly delivered (with few if any missed homes or businesses).
  • The books were delivered properly (by door, not tossed in driveways, for example).
  • The books were in good condition (e.g., not wet or dirty).
  • The delivery worker performed the services for which he or she is being paid.
